Costa Rica has some of the best healthcare in Latin America. It is not often you can use the terms “high quality” and “affordable” in the same sentence when talking about healthcare! But that is the reality in Costa Rica, where most hospitals are clean and state-of-the-art, and doctors are well-trained and attentive.
There are basically three ways to pay for healthcare in Costa Rica:

The thing here is, you can't legally work until you're a resident. But you can be self employed, run an online business, even open a business, but you yourself can't physically work in that business, you can only hire legal residence of the country.
If you are moving here and it’s one or the other. Purchasing makes more sense.
Although the cost of vehicles seems higher here due to import taxes, the money you will spend on renting adds up too quickly you would have wished you purchased something as soon as you arrived! That’s a mistake we made for sure!
But of course if you are only here for a visit then renting is the way to go, you'll want to be able to dive around and visit neighboring towns to see as much of what Costa Rica has to offer!

I think there has been a marketing mishap when it comes to the Costa Rica "Rain" Season.
We LOVE this time of year, maybe because its a little quieter in the streets and on the beach but TRULY because this is when everything comes ALIVE! the trees are lush, the flowers are blooming, nature comes back to life and greets you with all of its beauty. The days don't rain all day so you get beautiful tropical rain followed by sunshine and rainbows to admire.
